Sexuality
Reduction Syndrome
in opiate addicts
The syndrome comprises a set of three
symptoms: a fall in sexual desire and in the rate of sexual
activity, a subordination of sexual desire the pathological
need for drugs (injection first, then coitus), and an inadequate
evaluation by the patient of the negative aspects of his or
her sexual life (the failure of self-criticism). The study
suggests viewing the changes in sexuality during the formation
of a dependence on heroin as resulting from competition between
two functional systems for the results of activity ...
It should be used in sexology
to understand libido
influences...
Human reproductive behaviour
is studied by specialists of many disciplines besides sexology.
Until now, however, there has been no convincing explanation
of the fall in birth-rate in developed countries. Demographic
investigations show that many modern couples are limiting
themselves to one child, even as men and women express in
opinion surveys the desire for larger families. This discrepancy
has been explained by the fact that more than 50% of respondents
said they would prefer a family with two children, one boy
and one girl. That is to say that spouse would be more willing
to have a second child, on condition that they could be assured
of having either a son or a daughter. The impossibility of
determining the sex of a future baby has thus proved a negative
influence, decreasing the likelihood that couples will decide
to have a second child.
The Baby's Sex Choosing as a new approach
to family inner policy
In accordance with views
on human sexual rights, and having carefully considered the
ethical issues involved, married couples can easily achieve
the desired result without resorting to medical or surgical
procedures. The proposed method involves a change in the rate
of the couple's sexual activity during the 2-3 month period
before conception.
The subject of love for sale has been relevant
throughout history, and the paradigm for discussion – whether
among specialists or in the court of public opinion has remained
fundamentally unchanged: what causes prostitution, and how should
it be combated? This extremely wide-spread social phenomenon,
which bears a central relationship to sexual life, is herein
examined in a modern sexological approach. Special attention
is paid to the fact that, while sexual life evolves in accordance
with developments in other areas of life, prostitution does
not.
The
methodology for questionnaire-design for sexological investigations
is designed to further development interdisciplinary approach
in sexology. A survey must meet two requirements – it must
correspond to the ecological model, and it must serve to reveal
the quanta of typical behavioral patterns. The sexological
categories included in the questionnaire must reflect both
social and personal factors.

Sex education as the reflection of public
life and sexual culture in Russia in 2002 (the same now)
...It would be unfair
to say that Russian education has never had any courses that
covered sexuality. For instance, since 1924, when "12
sexual commandments for the revolutionary proletariat"
were published (which were viewed as some sort of Code designed
to regulated relations between males and females of the proletariat
background) and up to 1936 some schools had classes of sexual
education based on Sigmund Freud theory. However when Freudianism
was declared a false doctrine in Russia this educational trend
was interrupted and many professors, methodologists, and sponsors
of such education were repressed. At the same time, books
and popular brochures by Russian and foreign authors were
published with the circulation of 5-10 thousand copies where
gender related issues and sexually transmitted diseases were
discussed. As Stalin's power grew stronger at the end of the
'20s, such publications were halted. So, since the '30s and
up to the USSR collapse there hasn't been any special classes
on sexuality, erotic literature has been declared pornography,
and the censorship has been ravaging ...load
