A season of excavation
September √ November is a season for excavation of ginsengs' roots
on plantations in the Russian Far East, up to the first frosts. After
excavation roots are kept in special conditions and are suitable for
application within all year.
After purchase of ginseng's root you should prepare at once spirit
tincture or a honey extract using recommendations applied, otherwise
a root can dry up.
How many Ginsengs' roots are required for one person?
About 50 gr. of fresh ginsengs' roots quite enough to prepare a tincture.
It is for three - four treatment courses during one year.
Preparation of a tincture out of radix ginseng
Complicated composition of working substances out of radix ginseng
is not divided till now, and they separately are not received yet, therefore
tinctures and extracts out of ginsengs' roots are basically producing.
A tincture on vodka or 70 ╟ spirit is the most common in medical practice.
At higher concentration of spirit an extraction of working substances
become worse.
Preparation of a honey' extract out of radix ginseng
Wash a root using a soft brush in cool water. Do not scrape a root
as a carrot and do not break off thin fuzz because they contain a lot
of useful substances. Put whole clean washed root into vodka or 70 ╟
spirits for 30-40 minutes for sterilization.
Take a root, dry it by napkin and crumble it up in a mixer so that
the homogeneous light yellow substance will be formed. Neatly collect
all particles which have remained in a mixer and place them in a glass
jar with honey.
You will need 400 gr. of honey for 100 gr. of a root. As result you
will make 10% extract which will occupy about half-litre volume. The
glass jar should have a wide throat.
Put the lid on the jar densely. Put the jar in a dark place (not into
a fridge). The well-milled root will gradually float to the surface.
Each three days simply turn the jar upside-down on a lid and inside
out for mixing. The extract is ready to to use in 2 weeks.
