Statistical analysis showed significant differences
in the two following conditions:
1) in the MtF group when comparing the andro-stadie-nÔne
with the estra-tetra-enol condition
2) between the MtF and the heterosexual women
during the andro-stadie-nÔne condition.
D 7 In particular, we found a major decrease
in alpha rhythm (p= 0.015) and a major increase in beta
rhythm (p=.001) in the Mtf group under the andro-stadie-nÔne
condition in the first case. D 8
D 9 In the second case we found the same results,
a physiological arousal, - a major decrease in alpha rhythm
(p= 0.045) and a major increase in the beta rhythm (p=.045)-
in the MtF compared to the heterosexual women during the
andro-stadie-nÔne condition. D 10
On the contrary, we found no significant differences
among the other conditions: D 11
1) between the MtF and the heterosexual men
during the estra-tetra-enol condition;
2) between the andro-stadie-nÔne condition
and placebo in the heterosexual men.
3) finally, between the estra-tetra-enol condition
and placebo in the heterosexual women;
Discussion
Our results seem to demonstrate that the
MtF group is the most responsive to the influence of pheromones.
The significant difference between the two kinds of pheromones
shows that the MtF are more receptive to the male pheromone
than to the female one, according to the gender they feel
they belong to and not to their biological gender.
Moreover, the significant difference with
the heterosexual women suggests a major physiological arousal
of the MtF under the pheromone effect during the erotic
visual stimuli
On the contrary, in the heterosexual groups,
the pheromones do not seem to produce any significant change
compared to the placebo, during the erotic visual stimulation.

So, our study highlights two important findings:
First: new evidence of biological differences
between MtF transsexuals and men
Secondly: the fact that MtF transsexuals are
more aroused than heterosexuals by erotic stimuli. Might
this be a need to reinforce their gender identity?
We wish to emphasize this is a pilot study
and so requires further research.
